Last week we visited Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2018. Wow!

As you know, a mobile phone plays an invaluable part of daily life and connects two-thirds or the worlds population. As of 2017, there are around 735 million mobile internet users in China with data usage rising at a 162% y/y pace (Mary Meeker KPBC).  Innovations such as IOT, 5G, AR/VR and AI are bringing more entrepreneurs into the mobile ecosystem and building great companies that were on display at MWC. Here are a few of our favorites:

China based Eyespage Inc. is developing a screenless searching tool based on information within apps. This enables mobile phone owners to easily access information stored IN their apps. For example, you don’t need to look at your mobile apps one by one to look for arestaurant, instead you use Eyespage look at ALL the restaurants apps on your phone. Cool.

Belgium/Chinese Sentiance identifies behavioral data of customers based on IOT sensors using. It helps companies map customer’s daily routines to better engage with them in REAL TIME. Fast.

Have you ever felt your privacy and security are invaded when you are using a mapping service like Google / Apple maps? Gotaki offers a digital mapping solution for tech companies utilizing blockchain technology, which keeps data from becoming aggregated by a single party. Safe.

Hard to hear a call in a noisy environment? Don’t worry. Elevoc Technology is aiming to create a noiseless communication era and has realized single-channel real-time speech and noise separation. Better phone calls and communication.
